Audrey Zwick, LCSW

I am a Brooklyn-based, bilingual Spanish-English psychotherapist in private practice, who specializes in play therapy, therapy for adolescents, parent guidance, and psychoanalytic psychotherapy for adults. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW 082372) registered in the state of New York, I have functioned as a psychotherapist in a variety of mental health settings, including major New York City hospitals and freestanding outpatient clinics. I conduct individual sessions, play therapy sessions, family therapy sessions, and social skills groups. Comprehensive psychosocial evaluations are also offered. I have also been trained in a variety of modalities that have been shown to be effective in the treatment of children, teens, and adults including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and psychodynamically oriented therapy.

I have a Master's in Social Work from NYU Silver School of Social Work and a Bachelor's in Human Development from Cornell University. My post graduate experience has included serving as child therapist at Mount Sinai Hospital's child and adolescent outpatient psychiatry clinic, where I functioned as one of the founding members of the Mount Sinai Hospital Child, Adolescent and Family Services' adolescent DBT treatment team. This treatment team focused on addressing the psychiatric needs of high risk youth. I also have experience integrating child mental health services into elementary school, middle school, pediatric clinics, and GED programs. I supervise graduate level social workers in child, family, and adult therapy and have held an Adjunct Lecturer position at NYU School of Social Work. In addition to maintaining a private practice, I am a staff clinician at NYU Langone Brooklyn’s Family Health Center.

I continue to remain abreast of new psychotherapy innovations in child and adult psychology. I have participated in various hospital-based research studies focused on improving child therapy techniques. I continue to train and have completed a three year certificate program in child and adolescent psychotherapy at the William Alanson White Institute. Additionally, I am an advanced candidate at the Psychoanalytic Institute of the Contemporary Freudian Society.

My work with children deeply informs my work with adults. I am particularly skilled in working with adults who have experienced childhood trauma, are experiencing periods of transition, anxiety throughout the lifespan, and relationship difficulties.
